The Philosophers Path, situated on the slopes of the Töns Hill in Oerlinghausen above Hedwigs House, could no doubt tell many tales of profound conversations between the world-famous sociologist Max Weber (1864-1910) and his wife Marianne, or with his relations and scientific colleagues during his stays in Oerlinghausen at the turn of the century and and at the beginning of the 20th century. Stone of Cardinal Virtues It can be no coincidence that this path was walked many times by the world- famous sociologist Niklas Luhmann (1927-1998), who lived and worked close to our Education Centre for 25 years.
